Care and Maintenance

A timber gate or garage door looks and feels like no other. If the natural beauty of real wood is for you then take the time to maintain and care for it.

To ensure the continued beauty and durability of the wood, two coats of finish wood stain or oil should be applied after fitting and at least one coat each year thereafter. The hinges should also be painted with quality oil-based paint.

All moving parts such as locks, latches, bolts, hinges should be oiled at regular intervals.
